Dean & Sharon have been married for over 45 years. They are the proud parents of Josh (Amanda) and Candice (Josh). They also have 6 grandchildren to help keep them busy. Dean & Sharon both attended Miami Shores Baptist Church as children & graduated from West Carrollton High School. They lived in Lexington,Kentucky for over 20 years & moved back to WC in 1997 where they joined the FBCWC family. Having always enjoyed music, Dean has led the handbells for 10 years & became the FBCWC Music Minister in 2016.  As if that wasn't enough, Dean & Sharon also serve as the church janitors. In their spare time, they enjoy all sports- especially UK basketball.  Roadtrips in their Polaris Slingshot is also a favorite activity! 

Ron & Cheryl Brown believe the Lord has called them to live out this life for His purpose & His glory. Ron serves as the Associate Pastor at FBCWC. In addition, he also shepherds a discipleship group & co-leads the monthly men's breakfast.

Cheryl currently leads one of our Women's Sunday School classes and previously taught Children's Sunday School. Ron & Cheryl both actively serve in FBCWC outreach initiatives to help share Jesus with our community.

Janette (Jay) Wells has been married to Scott for 3 decades. They have raised 3 kids and a Basset Hound and are blessed to have added a lovely daughter in law and beautiful granddaughter to the mix!  Jay has worked with all ages from preschool to “keenagers”.  The literary character she most closely identifies with is Waldo from the popular Where’s Waldo series.  Along with running the day-to-day tasks at FBCWC, Jay teaches Student Sunday School, and co-teaches Women’s Bible Study.  She can also be found greeting, serving food, weeding flower beds, and sometimes singing.  Come join us Sunday and see if you can spot Jay!

Joel serves as a deacon for First Baptist WC since February 2023.  Kathy and Joel grew up in Christian homes. Joel is a missionary kid & grew up in Peru South America. They met during Bible School in Portland, OR. They have been married for over 40 years and have 4 grown children. Kathy is retired and Joel is an electrician. They love church, their grandkids, and scripture. Joel and Kathy teach an adult Sunday School class and serve as needed throughout FBCWC.

Fred & Shawnda are the parents of 3 adult children, 2 Aussie Doodles, & 1 amazing grandchild! They prayed for a worthwhile pursuit to burn up their extra energy. God provided a wonderful opportunity to direct Harvest 9:37 – FBCWC’s student & young adult ministry. Whether directing Harvest 9:37, leading recreation for VBS, or partaking in other outreach activities, Fred & Shawnda love showing their enthusiasm for Jesus with the next generation. They see God’s blessings as a privilege & aspire to be good stewards of His grace.
